THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice that he has Made an Order under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.12) Order 2010” authorising the stopping up of a length of unnamed highway commencing from a point 6 metres south west of the north western corner of Worden Park North Lodge and extending northwards for a distance of 29 metres to its junction with Worden Lane, at Leyland in the Borough of South Ribble to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to South Ribble Borough Council Street Scene Services and listed building consent granted to South Ribble Borough Council by South Ribble Borough Council on 6 May 2009 under reference 07/2009/0092/FUL and 07/2009/0123/LBC respectively.

COPIES OF THE ORDER MAY BE OBTAINED, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State, addressed to the National Transport Casework Team, Government Office for the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH (quoting reference NATTRAN/NW/S247/132) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at South Ribble Borough Council, Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, Lancashire PR25 1DH.

ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE ORDER and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of the 25 March 2010 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.

Planning permission (07/2009/0092/FUL) and listed building consent (07/2009/0123/LBC) are granted for the change of use of park frontage from adopted highway to public open space and installation of removable bollards at North Lodge, Worden Lane, Leyland, Lancashire PR25 3DH.
