PROPOSED 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT IN ABBOTTS ROAD, BANKSIDE ROAD, BEACHCROFT AVENUE, BEACONSFIELD ROAD, BEATRICE AVENUE, BERESFORD ROAD, CHERRY AVENUE, GRANGE ROAD, HAMBROUGH ROAD, HANSON GARDENS, HERBERT ROAD, LEWIS ROAD, ORCHARD AVENUE, OSWALD ROAD, PUNJAB LANE, RANDOLPH ROAD, RANELAGH ROAD, RAYNOR CLOSE, ST JOSEPH’S DRIVE, THE CRESCENT, TOWNSEND ROAD, TRINITY ROAD, WEST END ROAD AND WOODLANDS ROAD, SOUTHALL WITH ASSOCIATED TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES

1. Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Ealing propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 84 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. 2. The general effect of the Speed Limit Order would be to introduce a 20 mph speed limit in Abbotts Road, Bankside Road, Beachcroft Avenue, Beaconsfield Road, Beatrice Avenue, Beresford Road, Cherry Avenue, Grange Road, Hambrough Road, Hanson Gardens, Herbert Road, Lewis Road, Orchard Avenue, Oswald Road, Punjab Lane, Randolph Road, Ranelagh Road, Raynor Close, St Joseph’s Drive, The Crescent, Townsend Road, Trinity Road, West End Road and Woodlands Road, Southall. 3. The general effect of the Waiting Restriction Order would be to introduce waiting restrictions applying at any time in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this notice. 4. The general effect of the Residents Parking Place Order would be to change 2 residents parking places in Beaconsfield Road (on the south side, between Lewis Road and Hanson Gardens and between Nos 109 and 119) to parking with two wheels on the footway. 5. The general effect of the Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools Order would be to remove the prohibition of stopping during school times from outside the Beaconsfield Primary School in Beaconsfield Road. (Note.  At any time waiting restrictions would continue to apply at this location). 6. The general effect of the Free Parking Place Order would be to change the stop and shop parking place in Beaconsfield Road (on the south side near Nos 85-87) to parking with two wheels on the footway. 7. It is also proposed under the powers of section 90c of the Highways Act 1980 to introduce: (a) a series of road humps each with a nominal height of 75 millimetres and longitudinal width of 3.7 metres in (i) Bankside Road in the vicinity of Nos 3 and 4 and Nos 34 and 35, (ii) Beaconsfield Road in the vicinity of Nos 261 and 263, Nos 227 c and 229, Nos 136 and 138, No 125, Nos 59 and 61, and approximately 7.25 metres west of the western boundary of No 25, (iii) Beresford Road in the vicinity of Nos 6 and 8 and Nos 33 and 35, (iv) Cherry Avenue in the vicinity of Nos 24 and 26, (v) Orchard Avenue in the vicinity of Nos 6 and 8 and No 43, (vi) Randolph Road in the vicinity of No 47 (4 metres north) and No 18, (vii) St Joseph’s Drive in the vicinity of No 12, No 74 and Nos 83 and 85 and (viii) The Crescent approximately 7 metres west of No 32 and approximately 12 metres north of the northern boundary of No 16; and (b) raised junction entry platforms with nominal heights of 100 millimetres and widths of approximately 6 metres at the junctions of Abbotts Road, Bankside Road, Beachroft Avenue, Beresford Road, Hambrough Road, Herbert Road, Oswald Road, Ranelagh Road, Townsend Road, Trinity Road, West End Road and Woodlands Road with Uxbridge Road, St Joseph’s Drive at its junction with South Road and Abbots Road at its junction with Beaconsfield Road. 8. The Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders and traffic calming measures are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Mouchel Parkman Ltd, Third Floor, 22-24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders. 9. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Mouchel Parkman, on 020 8326 3016. 10. Any objections or other representations about any of the proposed Orders or traffic calming measures should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, Mouchel Parkman Ltd., 22-24 Uxbridge Road, Ealing, London W5 2BP, quoting Ref 641221/ORD 3208/djc, until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published. Schedule Beaconsfield Road : (i) the north side, between western kerbline of Trinity Road and the eastern kerbline of Woodlands Road; and (ii) the south side, between the common boundary of Nos 225 and 227 a  Beaconsfield Road and the common boundary of Nos 154 and 156 Beaconsfield Road. Punjab Lane, the remainder of the road not already subject to at any time waiting restrictions. 4 March 2005.
