NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 to the Water Resources Act 1991 (as amended by the Environment Act 1995), that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Yorkshire Water Services Ltd., 2 The Embankment, Sovereign Street, Leeds LS1 4BG, for consents to discharge sewage effluents from the new Hull Waste Water Treatment Scheme as detailed in the following table:

The discharges result from a scheme designed to provide full treatment to sewage flows up to 172,800 cubic metres per day from Hull. This will replace current discharges of screened crude sewage. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the local Environment Agency office at Viking Close, Great Gutter Lane, Willerby, near Hull HU10 6DE, on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. up to 5th November 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations or objections with respect to the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North East Region, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, for the attention of Simon Bullett, not later than 5th November 1999.
