The London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames (Strathmore Road, Teddington) (One-way Working) Experimental Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, on 9th September 1998, made the above Order under section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).   The effect of the experimental Order will be to introduce one-way working in a south-westerly direction in a length of Strathmore Road, Teddington, between the western kerb-line of the Strathmore youth centre access road and the junction with Stanley Road, except for pedal cyclists proceeding within the markings of a contra-flow cycle lane.   The Order will come into operation on 21st September 1998.   Copies of the Order and of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, together with plans showing the length of road affected, can be inspected at the:   (a) Civic Centre, (2nd Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham,. between 9.15 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays;   (b) Central Reference Library, Old Town Hall, Whttaker Avenue, Richmond, during opening hours.   Copies of the Order may be purchased from the Department of Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ.   Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any Instrument made under the Act has not been complied with that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.   In due course the Council will consider whether the provisions of the experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. If you wish to object to or make representation on the making of a permanent Order, you should write giving the grounds for your objection or representation to the Head of Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ, to be received by 6th November 1998. 11th September 1998.
