Notice of the issue of a Submarine Pipe-line works authorisation

The Secretary of State for Trade and Industry hereby gives notice that he has decided to issue, and in consequence has issued, a works authorisation to be held by Britoil plc, whose address is Farburn Industrial Estate, Dyce, Aberdeen AB2 0PB, for the construction of a 457 millimetres pipe-line, a 219.1 millimetres pipe-line, a 273.1 millimetres pipe-line, eight jumper spools and a chemical injection umbilical between the Bruce Western Area and the Bruce CR Platform.   Except with the consent of the Secretary of State, the 457 millimetres pipe-line, 219.1 millimetres pipe-line and the eight jumper spools shall only be used to convey production fluids, the 273.1 millimetres pipe-line shall only be used to convey re-injection gas and the chemical injection umbilical shall only be used to convey methanol and corrosion inhibitors.   The pipe-lines may be used by the holder and with the holder’s agreement, and with the consent of the Secretary of State, by other persons.   Britoil plc has been appointed operator of the pipe-lines.
