Notice of application for consent,in pursuance of Schedule 10
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991, as amended by the Environment Act 1995, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Tarmac Heavy Building Materials (UK) Ltd., for consent to discharge trade effluent. The application is for a consent to discharge up to a maximum of 4,320 cubic metres per day of trade effluent derived from rainfall and groundwater ingress to prevent interference with quarrying and from sand and gravel washing from Park Farm Pit, Thetford Road, Ingham, Suffolk, into Culford Stream via a tributary at National Grid Reference TL 8521 6923 with a maximum flow rate of 50 litres per second. This application is for an increase in volume from 2,500 to 4,320 cubic metres per day and flow rate from 27 to 50 litres per second. The discharge is existing and currently authorised by Consent No. PRCNF/5299, issued 11th October 1994, by the National Rivers Authority. Park Farm Pit is within the St. Edmundsbury Borough Council and Suffolk County Council areas. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Planning Manager, Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE18 8NE, to arrive not later than 19th May 1998, quoting Ref. PRCNF/5299A.
