Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Andrew Curtis Green, of 50 High Street, Soham, Ely, Cambridgeshire, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the New Cut, a tributary of the River Cam, at National Grid Reference TL 5420 7290, at Kingfishers Bridge, Wicken, Cambridgeshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 1,550 cubic metres per day, and 45,540 cubic metres per year between 1st November and 31st March each year. The water will be used for conservation of wetland habitats. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at 50 High Street, Soham, Ely, Cambridgeshire, between 19th February and 18th March 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE18 8NE, before the end of the said period.
