Notice of application to vary a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Kronospan Limited of Chirk, Wrexham LL14 5NT, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 24/67/5/66 to abstract water from superficial strata sands and gravels at National Grid References SJ 2868 3859 and SJ 2885 3807 at Kronospan Limited of Chirk, Wrexham LL14 5NT.   The variation being applied for is a total abstraction of 57 cubic metres per hour from two boreholes within the site curtilage, this is an increase of 27 cubic metres per hour by using a second borehole.   A copy of the applicaion and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Chirk Public Library, between 20th February and 20th March 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Welsh Region, Ffordd Penlan, Parc Menai, Bangor LL57 4BP, before the end of the said period.
