Abandonment Order

Route F1400 Beech Path Footpath, Lurgan

The Department for Regional Development, on the completion of works providing alternative facilities for road traffic, proposes to make an Order under Article 68 of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993, the effect of which would be to abandon a length of 420 metres of Beech Path (F1400) pedestrian/cycle path, Lurgan, from the underpass at the Eastway carriageway, (U1125), extending in a south-easterly direction towards the railway line and adjacent to Units 9 and 10 within the Silverwood Business Park.

The length of road proposed to be abandoned is delineated on a map which, together with a copy of a draft of the order, may be inspected by any person free of charge at all reasonable hours during the period from 8th October 2009 to 27th November 2009 at the Department’s Roads Services offices, Headquarters, Room 213, Clarence Court, 10-18 Adelaide Street, Belfast, BT2 8GB and Craigavon Section Office, Carn Industrial Estate, Portadown, BT63 5RH

Any person may within the said period object to the proposal by written notice to Roads Service Craigavon Section Office at the address above stating the grounds of objection.
