Local Government (Northern Ireland) Order 2005 S.I. 2005/1968 (N.I.18)

Notice is hereby given that in exercise of the power conferred on Her by paragraph 1(1) of the Schedule to the Northern Ireland Act 2000 (c.1) Her Majesty has made the Local Government (Northern Ireland) Order 2005. This Order primarily makes provision for updating and consolidating existing Northern Ireland local government audit legislation together with provisions relating to emergency planning, litter, and cosmetic piercing. These provisions will come into operation on such day or days as the Department may by Order appoint.
