The Department of Justice has made a Statutory Rule entitled “The Rules of the Court of Judicature (Northern Ireland) (Amendment) 2024" (2024 No. 177), which comes into operation on 2nd December 2024.

These Rules amend the Rules of the Court of Judicature (Northern Ireland) 1980 (S.R. 1980 No. 346) to provide that an application to the Court of Appeal for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court in a civil case shall be made within 28 days of the decision or order in respect of which leave is sought.
