Relating to Proposed Cheam Controlled Parking Zone
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The principal objective of the measures is to regulate existing on-street parking demand, thereby improving local conditions for residents and improving road safety. The general effect of the Sutton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No. ) (Amendment No. ) Order 199 will be to: (a) introduce waiting restrictions “between the hours of 11 a.m. and 12 noon on Mondays to Fridays inclusive” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice; (b) amend waiting restrictions to “between the hours of 11 a.m. and 12 noon on Mondays to Fridays inclusive” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice; (c) introduce waiting restrictions “between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 3 to this notice; (d) amend waiting restrictions “between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 4 to this notice; (e) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 5 to this notice; and (f) amend waiting restrictions to “no waiting at any time” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 6 to this notice. The general effect of the Sutton (Free Parking Places) (Cheam Controlled Parking Zone) (No. ) Order 199 will be to provide free parking bays for use at any time in the roads specified in Schedule 7 to this notice. The number in brackets after the road name indicates the approximate total number of vehicles which may be accommodated within the proposed parking bays in that road. The general effect of the Sutton (Free Parking Places) (Limited Time) (No. ) (Amendment No. ) Order 199 will be to: (a) introduce limited waiting restrictions “30 minutes waiting with no return within 2 hours between 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 8 to this notice; and (b) introduce limited waiting restrictions “2 hours waiting with no return within 4 hours between 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive” for the lengths of road specified in Schedule 9 to this notice.
