ENVIRONMENT AGENCY
Water Resources Act 1991, Schedule 10 (as amended by the Environment Act 1995)
Notice of application for consent for the purposes of section 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 of the above Act that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Severn Trent Water Limited for consent to discharge a rainfall dependent volume of storm sewage effluent to the Blockley Brook at OS National Grid Reference SP 1734 3569 from a combined sewer overflow located at Blockley (Sheafhouse Farm), Draycott Lane, Blockley, Gloucestershire, at OS National Grid Reference SP 1742 3559. The discharge shall only be made when flows are in excess of 28 litres per second and a storm tank capacity of 130 cubic metres has been fully utilised. Should consent be granted on this application, the new overflow will enable an existing unsatisfactory overflow to be abandoned.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Area Water Consents Officer at the Agency’s offices at Riversmeet House, Newtown Industrial Estate, Northway Lane, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire GL20 8JG, during the period 2nd April 1998 to 14th May 1998 inclusive, quoting Ref. WA/LS/60735.   A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours at the Agency’s offices at the above address and at Olton Court, 10 Warwick Road, Olton, Solihull, West Midlands B92 7HX.   The Environment Agency is committed to maintaining and, where possible, improving water quality. If, after full consideration of this application and any representations made by interested parties, it is decided that consent can be granted, then conditions will be imposed to ensure that the effluent receives treatment before discharge to the receiving waters so that the above aims are met. K. Riglar, on behalf of the Environment Agency 2nd April 1998.
