Notice of Adoption of Local Plan
TOWN & COUNTRY PLANNING (SCOTLAND) ACT 1997
East Kilbride and District Local Plan

On the 29th October 2003 South Lanarkshire Council agreed by resolution to adopt the above-named local plan,.

Certified copies of the plan and of the resolution together with certified copies of the reports of the Local Inquiry held and the Council’s statement following consideration of such reports have been deposited at all libraries, Q and A offices in East Kilbride and Strathaven and the Council Offices at Montrose Crescent, Hamilton.

The deposited documents are available for inspection free of charge.

The Plan became operative on 26th November 2003, but if any person aggrieved by the plan desires to question its validity on the ground that it is not within the powers conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997, or that any requirement of the said Part II or of any regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the adoption of the plan, he or she may, within six weeks from 26th November make an application to the Court of Session under section 238 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997.
