The Queen's Birthday honours 2019

OBE medalThe Queen's Birthday and New Year honours lists recognise the achievements and service of people across the UK, from all walks of life.

An honours committee makes recommendations to the prime minister and then to the Queen, who awards the honour. The official lists are published biannually in The Gazette, the official newspaper of the Crown.

This year's recipients were announced in a special Gazette supplement on 8 June.

Each person who is awarded an honour will also have their separate notice entry in the Awards and Accreditation area.

Honours awarded to citizens of UK overseas territories and dependencies are published as Commonwealth Birthday honours. The awards for 2019 were also published on 8 June.

See all Birthday and New Year honours supplements from 1940 to 2019, and from 1885 to 1939.
