BISHOP’S BRIDGE ROAD AND QUEENSWAY

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the following Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 63 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended:

• The City of Westminster (Parking Places) (B Zone) (Amendment No. *) Order 201*;

• The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. *) Order 201*;

• The City of Westminster (Loading Bays) (Amendment No. *) Order 201*;

• The City of Westminster (Goods Vehicle Loading Bays) (Amendment No. *) Order 201*; and

• The City of Westminster (Free Parking Places) (Bicycles) (Amendment No. *) Order 201*.

2. The general effect of the Orders would be, in connection with the redevelopment of Nos. 96-98 Bishop’s Bridge Road and associated revisions to the layout of the carriageway, to:

(a) extend the residents’ parking place outside Claremont Court, Queensway southward by 2 metres;

(b) relocate the loading bay on the east side of Queensway (adjacent to Nos. 96-98 Bishop’s Bridge Road) southward by 12 metres;

(c) shorten the loading bay on the west side of Queensway (outside Nos. 183 to 189) by 2 metres;

(d) introduce “at any time” loading restrictions:

(i) on the east side of Queensway. immediately north-west of the new service entrance to Nos. 96-98 Bishop’s Bridge Road (approximately 10 metres); and

(ii) on the north side of Westbourne Grove, between Queensway and the pedestrian crossing (approximately 12.5 metres);

(e) relocate four cycle stands from outside Nos. 96-98 Bishop’s Bridge Road to the northern end of a new widened footway outside Nos. 175 to 189 Queensway; and

(f) remove the cycle stand from outside Nos. 183 to 189 Queensway.

3. The Orders also correct anomalies between on-street line-markings and current Traffic Management Orders.

4. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection until six weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at West One, 10 th Floor, Westminster City Hall, 64 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 6QP.

6. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
