DISABLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES – SCHEDULE 163

• 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council propose to make a Traffic Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
• 2 The general effect of the Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No. Z14) Traffic Order 2014 would be to:
  • a revoke the disabled parking places outside No. 153 Birchanger Road, South Norwood; outside No. 32 Cherry Hill Gardens, Croydon; outside Nos. 1 – 5 Coniston Road, Croydon; outside No. 6 Darcy Road, Norbury; outside No. 56 Denmark Road, South Norwood; outside Nos. 35 and 37 Edward Road, Addiscombe; outside Nos. 18 and 20 Falkland Park Avenue, South Norwood; outside No. 128 Gascoigne Road, New Addington; outside No. 282 Grange Road, Upper Norwood; outside No. 11 Nugent Road, South Norwood; outside No. 17 and outside Nos. 58 and 60 Nutfield Road, Thornton Heath, 2 bays; adjacent to No. 99 Richmond Road, in Stratford Road, Thornton Heath; outside No. 74 Stratford Road, Thornton Heath; outside No. 373 Sydenham Road, Croydon;
  • b designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons’ badge may be left without charge or time limit in:
• 3 A copy of the proposed Order and of all related Orders, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of the plans which indicate each length of road to which the Order relates, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the last day of a period of six weeks beginning with the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order, at the Enquiry Counter, ‘Access Croydon’ Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

• 5 Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Order Making Section, Parking Services, Development and Environment Department, Croydon Council, P.O. Box 1462, Croydon, CR9 1WX or by emailing Parking.Design@croydon.gov.uk quoting the reference P&E/PS/JAA/13/Z14 by 19 March 2014.
• 6 The Order is intended to introduce disabled parking bays in roads where difficulty is being experienced in the parking of disabled persons’ vehicles due to heavy demand for parking in those areas. The order would also revoke those disabled parking bays which are no longer required in order to make best use of kerb space.
