THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice of the proposal to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of ten sections of highway on land to the south of Blackburn Road and east of Leyland Street at Accrington, in the Borough of Hyndburn.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable development as permitted by Hyndburn Borough Council under reference 11/13/0401.

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND RELEVANT PLAN will be available for inspection during normal opening hours at Accrington Library, St James Street, Accrington, BB5 1NQ in the 28 days commencing on 21 February 2014, and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State (quoting NATTRAN/NW/S247/1255) at the address stated below.
