The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has determined that his proposal to install a new drainage system; to include pre-works vegetation clearance of the hedge using a flail, clearance of grass using hand strimmers and works comprising the installation of new soakaways along a section of the A31 is a relevant project within the meaning of section 105A (1) of the Highways Act 1980 and is not subject to environmental impact assessment in accordance with Part VA of the Highways Act 1980 implementing Directive 85/337/EEC as amended by Directive 97/11/EC.

Any comments about this notice should be sent, as soon as possible and not later than 6 weeks from the date of this notice (Friday 28 February 2014) to Highways Agency, Federated House, London Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SZ.
