THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK (WIDTH RESTRICTION) (LYNTON ROAD) (NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2014

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the council of the London Borough of Southwark on16 January 2014 made the above-mentioned orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the orders, following determination of objections received by Bermondsey and Rotherhithe Community Council in respect of items (a), (b) and (t) below, by Peckham and Nunhead Community Council in respect of item (c) below, and by Dulwich Community Council in respect of item (p) below, will be:—
    • a in ALBION STREET, to introduce new lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: [i] on the north-west side at its junctions with Canon Beck Road and Swan Road, and [ii] on the south-east side between its junctions with Canon Beck Road and Swan Road;
    • b in CANON BECK ROAD, to introduce a new length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south-west side at its junction with Albion Street;
    • c in CHESTERFIELD WAY, to introduce new lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: [i] on the south-east side across and throughout the turning area located south of No. 11 Chesterfield Way, and [ii] on the south and north-west sides of its south-easternmost extremity;
    • d in DUNSTAN’S ROAD, to introduce a new length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south-east side at its junction with Mount Adon Park;
    • e in ELM GROVE, to remove 7 metres of an existing CPZ ‘B’ permit holders’ parking place across a pavement crossover on the east side outside No. 52 Elm Grove, and install ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions;
    • f in EVERTHORPE ROAD, to introduce new lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Oglander Road;
    • g in FOREST HILL ROAD, to introduce two short lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions either side of the bus stop on the north-east side located south-east of its junction with Honor Oak Rise;
    • h in GOODWIN CLOSE, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on both sides at its junction with Lucey Road and Yalding Road;
    • i in GREAT SUFFOLK STREET, to provide a new 4 hour maximum stay disabled persons’ parking place on the north-east side outside No. 61a Great Suffolk Street;
    • j in GREEN WALK, to provide a new CPZ ‘D’ permit holders’ parking place on the north-east side outside Nos. 1-5 Green Walk;
    • k in GROVE LANE, to remove 9.5 metres of permit holders’ parking and introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the east side at a footway crossover outside No. 165 Grove Lane;
    • l in HALF MOON LANE, to remove 6 metres of an existing CPZ ‘HH’ ‘shared-use’ parking place across a pavement crossover on the north side outside No. 49 Half Moon Lane, and install ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions;
    • m in OGLANDER ROAD, to introduce a new length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-east side at its junction with Everthorpe Road;
    • n in LUCEY ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-west side at its junction with Goodwin Close;
    • o in LYNTON ROAD, to formalise the existing 2.2 metre width restriction located outside Nos. 193-197 Lynton Road;
    • p MOUNT ADON PARK - to introduce new lengths of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions: [i] at the bend fronting Nos. 1-5 Mount Adon Park (south and south-east side), [ii] at the bend opposite Nos. 2-8 Mount Adon Park (north-east and north-west side), [iii] at the bend fronting Nos. 38, 40 and 49 Mount Adon Park (both sides), and [iv] at its junction with Dunstans Road (both sides);
    • q in RAYMOUTH ROAD, to remove 10 metres of an existing loading bay across an entrance on the south-west side outside No. 38 Raymouth Road, and install ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions;
    • r in ROYAL ROAD, to remove 6 metres of an existing CPZ ‘E’ permit holders’ parking place on the north-east side outside King Charles Court, so as to accommodate the provision of the disabled bay referred to in item (y)[ix] below;
    • s in RYE LANE, to convert an existing unsigned parking lay-by on the north side outside Nos. 213-239 Rye Lane to a shared facility operating as a 40 minutes maximum stay loading bay between 7 am and 11 am, and as a 4 hour maximum stay disabled persons’ parking place between11 am to midnight and midnight to 7 am;
    • t in SWAN ROAD, to introduce a new length of ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-east side at its junction with Albion Street;
    • u in TOWNLEY ROAD, to [i] remove a length of ‘school keep clear restrictions on the north-east side outside the entrance to Alleyn’s School and introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions, and [ii] extend two existing free bus parking places on the north-east and south-west sides nearby;
    • v in UNDERHILL ROAD, to extend the existing ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-east side at its junction with Henslowe Road to points 7.7 metres north-west of and 3 metres south-east of the kerb-lines of Henslowe Road;
    • w in WINDSOR WALK - to convert all existing CPZ ‘L’ ‘pay and display’ and permit holders’ parking places to ‘shared-use’ permit holders’/’pay and display’/’pay by phone’ parking;
    • x in YALDING ROAD, to introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the south-west side at its junction with Goodwin Close;
    • y to provide new unlimited stay disabled persons’ parking places, each 6 metres in length, and operating at any time, in: [i] BOXALL ROAD - on the north-east side outside No. 5a, [ii] CYRENA ROAD - on the west side adjacent to No. 36 Heber Road, [iii] IVYDALE ROAD - on the north-east side outside No. 7, [iv] IVYDALE ROAD - on the north-east side outside No. 107, [v] KIMBERLEY ROAD - on the south-west side outside No. 16, [vi] MACHELL ROAD - on the south-east side outside No. 12, [vii] MELBOURNE GROVE - on the west side outside No. 78, [viii] NAYLOR ROAD - on the south-west side outside No. 58, [ix] ROYAL ROAD - on the north-east side outside King Charles Court, [x] ST. AIDAN’S ROAD - on the north-west side outside No. 47, and [xi] STUART ROAD - on the north side outside No. 65.
  • 3 Copies of the orders, which will come into force on 20 January 2014, and of all other relevant documents are available for inspection until the end of a period of six weeks from the date the orders were made at the upon request at Public realm projects - network development, Southwark council, Environment and leisure, 3rd floor hub 1, 160 Tooley Street, London SE1 2QH.   • 4 Any persons desiring to question the validity of the orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
