  • 1 Transport for London, hereby gives notice that it intends to make the above named Orders under sections 6 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  • 2 The general nature and effect of the Orders will be to:

1) Remove the loading and disabled persons’ vehicle bay outside Nos.213a-215 Queen’s Road;

2) Introduce a ‘No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction outside No. 53 Camberwell Church Street to its junction with Datchelor Place;

3) Extend the parking and disabled persons’ vehicle bay outside No. 47 Camberwell Church Street by 3 metres at its western end and to change the restrictions to: No Stopping Mon-Sat 7am - 7pm Except 10am-4pm parking 20 mins No return within 40 mins;

4) Replace the No Stopping at Any Time restriction outside Nos. 235-245 Camberwell New Road with a parking and disabled persons’ vehicle bay with the following restrictions: No Stopping on any day Any Day 7am - 7pm Except 10am-4pm parking 20 mins No return within 40 mins;

5) Reduce the parking and disabled persons’ vehicle bay outside Nos. 141-149 Camberwell New Road by 9 metres at its’ north-western end and replace it with a No Stopping at Any Time Restriction;

6) Reduce the loading and disabled persons’ vehicle bay outside Nos. 37-43 Camberwell Church Street by 3 metres from its eastern end;

7) Extend the loading and disabled persons’ vehicle bay outside Nos. 58-60 Peckham High Street by 7 metres at its eastern end;

8) Change the loading and disabled persons’ vehicle bay restrictions located on the northern side of the A202 Queen’s Road, 6 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Consort Road to: No ) Stopping Mon-Fri 7am - 7pm Except 10am-4pm loading max 20 mins and disabled persons’ vehicles max 3 hours;

9) Extend the No Stopping at Any Time restriction outside No. 256 Camberwell New Road by 20 metres from its north-western end;

10) Introduce a No Stopping at Any Time restriction outside Nos. 80-84 Peckham High Street;

11) Introduce a No Stopping at Any Time restriction outside Nos. 62-64 Peckham High Street;

12) Extend the No Stopping at Any Time control outside Nos. 179-188 Peckham High Street by 60 metres from its eastern end;

13) Extend the No Stopping at Any Time restriction outside Nos. 46-52 Peckham High Street by 15 metres from its eastern end;

14) Extend the No Stopping at Any Time restriction opposite Nos. 1-5 & 9-11 Cherry Tree Court by 12 metres from its western end;

15) Extend the No Stopping at Any Time restriction outside No. 30 Queen’s Road by 10 metres from its western end;

16) Introduce a No Stopping at Any Time restriction outside No. 53 Camberwell Church Street for a length of 7 metres;

17) Permit any vehicle travelling in a south-westerly direction on John Ruskin Street to make a left turn only at the junction with the A202 Camberwell New Road;

18) Introduce a no right turn onto the A202 Queen’s Road for vehicles, except buses and cycles, travelling northwards on Lugard Road;

19) Introduce a no right turn onto the A215 Denmark Hill for vehicles, except buses and cycles, travelling eastwards on the A202 Camberwell New Road;

20) Introduce new mandatory cycle lanes ‘At Any Time’ at the following locations:

  • a A202 CAMBERWELL NEW ROAD, the north-east side, from a point 17 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 60 and 62 Camberwell New Road to a point 5 metres north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 82 and 84 Camberwell New Road;
  • b A202 CAMBERWELL NEW ROAD, the north-east side, from the common boundary of Nos. 114 and 116 Camberwell New Road to a point 5 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 155 and 157 Camberwell New Road;
  • c A202 CAMBERWELL CHURCH STREET, the north side, from a point 4 metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 13 and 15 Camberwell Church Street eastwards for a distance of 21 metres;
  • d A202 PECKHAM ROAD, the north side, from a point 9 metres east of the common boundary of Nos. 95 and 97 Peckham Road to a point 18 metres west of the western kerbline of Kelly Avenue;
  • e A202 PECKHAM ROAD, the south-west side, from a point 1 metre west of the western kerbline of Basing Court to a point 19 metres south-east of the eastern kerbline of Lyndhurst Way;
  • f A202 PECKHAM ROAD, the south side, from a point 10 metres west of the western kerbline of Lyndhurst Way to a point 8 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Grummant Road;
  • g A202 PECKHAM HIGH STREET, the south side, from a point 2 metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 118 to 120 and 122 Peckham High Street to the common boundary of Nos. 90 and 92 Peckham High Street;
  • h A202 PECKHAM HIGH STREET, the south side, from a point 11 metres east of the eastern building line of Nos. 1 to 35 Purdon House, Oliver Goldsmith Estate, to opposite a point 2 metres east of the common boundary of Nos. 127 and 129 Peckham High Street;
  • i A202 PECKHAM HIGH STREET, the south side, from a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Clayton Road eastwards for a distance of 22 metres;
  • j A202 PECKHAM HIGH STREET, the south side, from a point 1 metre north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 64 and 66 Peckham High Street to a point 13 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Bellenden Road.

21) Introduce new mandatory cycle lanes operational Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm at the following locations:

  • a A202 QUEEN’S ROAD, the north side, from a point 17 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Carlton Grove to a point 1 metre south-east of the north-western building line of No. 115 Queen’s Road;
  • b A202 QUEEN’S ROAD, the north side, from a point 12 metres south-east of the north-western building line of No. 115 Queen’s Road to a point 2 metres west of the western kerbline of Kings Grove;
  • c A202 QUEEN’S ROAD, the south side, from a point 1 metre east of the common boundary of Nos. 184 and 186 Queen’s Road to a point 2 metres east of the western building line of No. 142 Queen’s Road;
  • d A202 QUEEN’S ROAD, the south side, from a point 20 metres west of the western kerbline of Lugard Road to a point 18 metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 52 and 54-56 Queen’s Road.

22) Introduce new mandatory cycle lanes operational Monday to Saturday, 7am to 10am and 4pm to 7pm at the following locations:

  • a A202 PECKHAM ROAD, the north side, from a point 10 metres west of the eastern building line of Nos. 1 to 23 and 26 to 38 Mayward House, Peckham Road and a point 12 metres west of the western kerbline of Vestry Road;
  • b A202 PECKHAM ROAD, the north side, from a point 16 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Havil Street to a point 20 metres east of the western building line of No. 83 Peckham Road;
  • c A202 PECKHAM ROAD, the south side, from a point 15 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Talfourd Road to a point 13 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Havil Street;
  • d A202 PECKHAM ROAD, the south side, from a point 3 metres east of the common boundary of the eastern building line of Nos. 1 to 44 Bodeney House to a point 34 metres west of the western kerbline of St Giles Road.

23) Introduce a 20 mph speed limit on:

  • a A202 Camberwell New Road, from a point 3 metres east of the western building line of No. 295 Camberwell New Road to its junction with Denmark Hill;
  • b A215 Denmark Hill, from a point 1 metre south of the common boundary of Nos. 14 and 16 Denmark Hill to the southern kerbline of Camberwell New Road;
  • c A215 Camberwell Green, from a point 29 metres north of the northern kerbline of Camberwell Church Street to that kerbline;
  • d A202 Camberwell Church Street, from its junction with Denmark Hill to a point 6 metres west of the common boundary of Nos. 84 and 86 Camberwell Church Street;
  • e Artichoke Place, from a point 8 metres north of its junction with Camberwell Church Street to that junction;
  • f Vicarage Grove, from a point 17 metres north of its junction with Camberwell Church Street to that junction;
  • g Camberwell Grove, from a point 1 metre north-west of the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 3 Camberwell Grove to its junction with Camberwell Church Street;
  • h Grove Lane, from a point 15 metres south-east of its junction with Camberwell Church Street to that junction;
  • i Wren Road, from a point 13 metres south-east of its junction with Camberwell Church Street and that junction;
  • j Camberwell Station Road, from its junction with Camberwell New Road to a point 5 metres south-east of that junction.

24) Introduce a bus lane on the A202 Peckham High Street and Queen’s Road, from a point 4 metres east of the common boundary of Nos. 127 and 129 Peckham High Street to a point 41 metres west of the western kerbline of Carlton Grove.

25) Amend the bus lanes on:

  • a A202 Camberwell Church Street, the westbound bus lane is shortened by 8 metres at its western end, outside Nos. 32-34 Camberwell Church Street;
  • b A202 Camberwell New Road, the south-eastbound bus lane is shortened by 5 metres at its eastern end, outside No. 321 Camberwell New Road;
  • c A202 Peckham Road, the west-bound bus lane is shortened by 7 metres at its start at Nos. 1 to 59 Fairwall House;
  • d A202 Queen’s Road, the eastbound bus lane is extended by 5 metres at its start outside No. 169 Queen’s Road, and extended by 12.5 metres at its end outside Nos. 251a and 251b Queen’s Road.

26) Move the existing parking bay on the west side of Pomeroy Street 10m to the south.

  • 3 The roads which would be affected by the Orders are, A202 Camberwell New Road, A202 Camberwell Church Street, A202 Peckham Road, A202 Peckham High Street and A202 Queen’s Road and Pomeroy Street in the London Borough of Southwark.
  • 4 A copy of the Orders, a statement of Transport for London’s reasons for the proposals, a map indicating the location and effect of the Orders and copies of any Orders revoked, suspended or varied by the Orders can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of:
