THE BARNET (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES)(NO. **) TRAFFIC ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above mentioned Order under Sections 32, 35 and 124 of and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to effectively manage the car park situated in Old Courthouse Recreation Ground EN5, the general effect of the Order would be to introduce parking restrictions and charges in the car park as follows:

Between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm, Mondays to Saturdays, the car park would be subject to the following tariff which would be payable via the Council’s telephone payment system, via credit/debit card pay and display machine, at Paypoint outlets, or through the use of parking vouchers obtainable from the Council:

Up to 30 minutes: Free of charge
Up to 1 hour: £1.00
Up to 2 hours: £1.50
Up to 3 hours: £2.00
(Maximum stay 3 hours)

In addition, in order to improve parking facilities for patrons of Hendon Park NW4, the Order would introduce a new car park in Hendon Park, which would have parking restrictions and charges applicable to it as follows:

Between the hours of 8am and 6.30pm, Mondays to Saturdays, the car park would be subject to the following tariff which would be payable via the Council’s telephone payment system, via credit/debit card pay and display machine, at Paypoint outlets, or through the use of parking vouchers obtainable from the Council:

Short stay spaces (15 no.) Long stay spaces (5 no.)
Up to 30 minutes: Free of charge Up to 4 hours: £5.00
Up to 1 hour: £1.00 All day: £6.00
Up to 2 hours: £1.50
Up to 3 hours: £2.00

The charges would not apply to groups, organisations and clubs involved in recognised activities contained within the park. These groups would be issued with permits to indicate their eligibility to parks in the car parks during their controlled periods.

Disabled badge holders would be permitted to park in the car parks free of charge, although the length of stay permitted would be restricted as follows:

Old Courthouse Recreation Ground: Up to 3 hours
Hendon Park (short stay bays): Up to 2 hours
Hendon Park (long stay bays): No limit

A copy of the proposed Order, a plan showing the proposed parking layout and operational details of the car parks and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive for a period of 35 days from the date on which this notice is published at: a) Streetscene Directorate, Building 4, North London Business Park, Oakleigh Road South, London, N11 1NP; b) Reception, Hendon Town Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London, NW4 4BG.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a written statement explaining their objection to the Streetscene Directorate at the above address or via e-mail to e&o.consultation@barnet.gov.uk within 35 days of the date of this Notice.
