HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 116
STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAY ADJACENT “YORKSHIRE GAME” AT BROMPON ON SWALE INDUSTRIAL ESTATE
TAKE NOTICE that North Yorkshire County Council, being the highway authority for the County of North Yorkshire, intends to apply to the Magistrates’ Court for the Petty Sessional Division of Northallerton and Richmond sitting at The Court House, Racecourse Lane, Northallerton, North Yorkshire DL7 8QZ at 10.00 am on 22 July 2013 for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, to authorise the stopping up of short section of the road adjacent “Yorkshire Game” on the Brompton Industrial Estate in the District of Hambleton, on the ground that it is unnecessary. The effect of the Order will be that the land in question ceases to be part of the publicly maintainable highway.
A plan showing the proposed area of highway to be stopped up has been deposited at Room 18, County Hall, Northallerton and may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours.
