WAITING RESTRICTION AND RESIDENTS PARKING (AMENDMENT NO. 3) ORDER 2013

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham in exercise of its powers under Sections 6, 32, 45 and 124 and Parts I to IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (hereinafter called “the Act”) and all other enabling legislation and powers and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis in accordance with Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Act propose to make the above Orders.

  • 1 The effect of the Loading Bays Amendment Order will be to introduce 2 loading bays (30 minutes waiting – no return within 1 hour) on the west side of Dagenham Road.
  • 2 The effect of the Free Parking Spaces Amendment Order will be to introduce Disabled Bays on Green Lane.
  • 3 The effect of the Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools Amendment Order will be to:
    • a Amend the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (Special Parking Areas) (No 1) Order 1994 in order to introduce no waiting at any time and no waiting Monday to Friday 8.30am - 9.30am and 2.30pm – 3.30pm along various lengths of Bastable Avenue.
    • b Amend the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1995 in order to prohibit vehicles stopping outside Thames View Junior School on Bastable Avenue. School ‘Keep Clear’ markings will be introduced 17 metres and 57 metres east of the cul-de-sac end, each for a distance of 25 metres.
  • 4 The effect of the Special Parking Areas Amendment Order will be to amend the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (Special Parking Areas) (No 1) Order 1994 in order to introduce no waiting at any time and no loading at any time restrictions along various lengths of Camomile Road and Thornhill Gardens.
  • 5 The effect of the Bus Lane Amendment Order will be to change the operational time of lengths of the bus lanes eastbound 3pm-7pm on Ripple Road between Merrilands Crescent and Heathway and on New Road between Heathway and Kent Avenue and westbound 7am-10am between Thames Avenue and Merrilands Crescent.
  • 6 The effect of the Waiting Restriction and Residents Parking Amendment Order will be to:
    • a Amend the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (Special Parking Areas) (No 1) Order 1994 in order to introduce no waiting at any time and no loading at any time restrictions along various lengths of Ripple Road, Devon Road, Eastbury Avenue, Harrow Road, Blake Avenue, Sisley Road, Denham Way, Pelham Avenue, Sterry Road, Mayesbrook Road, Eastbury Square and Tudor Road.
    • b Amend the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (Barking Town Centre) (Parking Places) Order 1994 in order to:
      • i Introduce resident permit holders only Monday to Friday 8:30am – 9:00pm along various lengths of Ripple Road, Devon Road, Eastbury Avenue, Harrow Road, Blake Avenue, Sisley Road, Denham Way, Pelham Avenue, Sterry Road, Mayesbrook Road, Eastbury Square and Tudor Road.
      • ii Introduce pay-by-phone and business permit holders only Monday to Friday 8:30am – 9:00pm in the southern section of Harrow Road and various sections of Eastbury Square.
      • iii Introduce pay-by-phone parking only Monday to Friday 8:30am – 9:00pm in the northern section of Harrow Road
      • iv Introduce limited waiting 20 minutes maximum stay, no return within 1 hour Monday to Friday 8:30am – 9:00pm in a section of Blake Avenue.

Copies of the draft Order together with a plan and statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing this Order are available for inspection at the Planning Application desk, Town Hall, Barking and at the offices of the Chief Executive, Civic Centre, Dagenham between the hours of 9.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Any objections and other representations to the proposed Order must be made in writing stating the grounds on which they are made and sent to the address below, within 21 days of the publication date of this Notice.
