INTRODUCTION OF RAISED ZEBRA CROSSING - MAPLE ROAD, SURBITON
- 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, in accordance with section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended), propose to introduce a speed table in Maple Road, Surbiton (from a point 5 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 63 & 65 Maple Road, north-eastwards for a distance of 9 metres). The speed table would be an elevated section of carriageway with a maximum height of 75mm, 9 metres in length (including two ramps, each of 1.5 metres in length) and would occupy the full width of the carriageway.
- 2 FURTHER NOTICE IS ALSO HEREBY GIVEN that the Council, under the powers of section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, propose to introduce a zebra pedestrian crossing which will be sited on the raised table referred to in paragraph 1 above. Please note; this traffic-calming scheme was approved by the Council’s Surbiton Neighbourhood Committee on 23rd January 2013.
