- 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Royal Borough of Greenwich on 17th August 2012 made the above-mentioned Orders under Legislation section: sections 6, Legislation section: 45, Legislation section: 46, Legislation section: 49 and Legislation section: 124 of and Legislation section: Part IV of Legislation section: Schedule 9 to the Legislation: Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Orders will come into operation on 27th August 2012 .
- 2 The general effect of the Orders will be:
- a in Charlton Lane to introduce double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on the north-west side between the south-western kerb-line of Prentiss Court and 7.5 metres north-east of the north-eastern boundary of the Royal Oak Public House;
- b in Christchurch Way to extend the existing permit holders’ parking place on the east side outside Nos. 6/10/14 and Aspley Terrace, Christchurch Way by 18.9 metres (an equivalent length of single yellow line waiting restrictions would be removed);
- c in Craigerne Road to replace the single yellow line waiting restrictions at the south-western extremity with double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions adjacent to Nos. 38 and 43 Craigerne Road;
- d in Craigton Road to provide a “school keep clear” restriction on the south-east side outside Gordon Primary School which would operate between 8am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive (31.5 metres of permit holders’ parking space would be removed);
- e in Eltham Hill to provide double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on:
- i the north-east side, between 6 metres south-east of Nos. 39 and 41 Eltham Hill and 15 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Prince John Road; and
- ii the south-west side, between 4.5 metres north-west of Nos. 102 and 104 Eltham Hill and Nos. 106 and 108 Eltham Hill;
- f in Hyde Vale to:
- i extend the residents’ parking place on the north-east side adjacent to No. 28 King George Street by 5 metres (an equivalent length of single yellow line waiting restrictions would be removed);
- ii remove 5 metres of residents’ parking place on the north-east side outside No. 3 Hyde Vale and replace it with an equivalent length of single yellow line waiting restrictions that would operate between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive and between 9am and 6pm on Sundays; and
- iii remove 7.5 metres of residents’ parking place on the south-west side outside No. 4 Hyde Vale and replace it with an equivalent length of single yellow line waiting restrictions that would operate between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive and between 9am and 6pm on Sundays;
- g in Leda Road to provide double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on:
- i the north-east side, between its junction with Venus Road and a point 3.00 metres south-east of a point in line with the westernmost wall of 1 to 56 Plantagenet House, Leda Road; and
- ii the south-west side, between its junction with Venus Road and a point 2.00 metres north-west of a point in line with the westernmost wall of 1 to 56 Plantagenet House, Leda Road;
- h in Mayhill Road to remove 7.8 metres of free parking place on the east side outside
No. 27 Mayhill Road and replace it with single yellow line waiting restrictions that
would operate between 9am and 6.30pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive;
- i in Prince John Road to introduce double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on:
(i)the north-west side, between the north-eastern kerb-line of Eltham Hill and 12.6 metres north-east of that kerb-line; and
- ii the south-east side, between the north-eastern kerb-line of Eltham Hill and 10 metres north-east of that kerb-line;
(j) in Roan Street to remove 3.9 metres of existing shared use residents’ and business permit parking place on the south-east side and replace with equivalent lengths of double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions;
(k) in Royal Hill to remove 5.5 metres of residents’ permit parking place on the north-east side outside No. 136 Royal Hill and replace it with an equivalent length of single yellow line waiting restrictions that would operate between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive and between 9am and 6pm on Sundays;
(l) in Venus Road (west to east arm) to provide double yellow line ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on:
(i) the north-west and north sides, between a point 9.00 metres south-west of the north-eastern kerb-line of Antelope Road and a point 2.50 metres east of a point opposite the eastern kerb-line of Leda Road;
(ii) the south-east and south sides, between a point 8.00 metres north of a point opposite the north-eastern kerb-line of Antelope Road and a point 5.00 metres east of the eastern kerb-line of Leda Road; and
(m) ensure the exact extents of parking places on-street in Woolwich Road remain accurately reflected in their associated Traffic Orders.

- 4 The Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise and Skills, Strategic Transportation, Greenwich Council, Crown Building, 48 Woolwich New Road, SE18 6HQ .
- 5 If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Legislation: Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for that purpose to the High Court.
- 6 Persons objecting to either of the Orders should be aware that in view of the Legislation: Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this Notice, open to public inspection.
