TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice that she has made an Order under Legislation section: Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North East) (No.20) Order 2012” authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped area of land currently used as a parking area/pick up and drop off point which lies between Station Road and Balmoral Terrace and north east of South Gosforth Metro Station at South Gosforth, in the City of Newcastle upon Tyne to enable the development to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Nexus Rail by Newcastle City Council on 19 April 2012 under reference 2011/1724/01/DET.

COPIES OF THE ORDER MAY BE OBTAINED, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State, addressed to the National Transport Casework Team, 2nd Floor, Lancaster House, Hampshire Court, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7YH (quoting reference NATTRAN/NE/S247/569) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Gosforth Library, Regent Farm Road, Gosforth, NE3 3HD .

ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE ORDER and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the 19 July 2012 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
