APPLICATION FOR AUTHORITY TO STOP-UP

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wigan Borough Council, the highway authority within the meaning of the Legislation: Highways Act 1980, as amended by the Legislation: Local Government Act 1985, intends to apply by way of complaint to the Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court sitting at Darlington Street, Wigan in the County of Greater Manchester on Thursday, 24th May 2012 at 10.45 am for an Order authorising the stopping-up of the highway known as footpath between 22 and 24 Sanderling Drive, Leigh on the ground that the said highway is unnecessary.
THE EFFECT of the Order will be as shown in a Plan which may be inspected free of charge between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan and at the Town Hall, Market Street, Leigh .
