CONSOLIDATION OF PRESCRIBED ROUTES IN LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW
A. THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HOUNSLOW (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. **) ORDER 20**
- 1 The Council of the London Borough of Hounslow proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under Legislation section: sections 6 of the Legislation: Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.
- 2 The general effect of the Prescribed Routes Order would be to:
- a update the descriptions of one-way, mandatory turns and no-entry restrictions in various locations in London Borough of Hounslow to match what is currently on street as detailed in Schedules 1, 2, 3, 4and 5.
- b revoke Article 3 in TMO 1994/12 which imposes one-way working in Mayfield Avenue and Thornton Avenue, Chiswick .
- 3 A copy of; the proposed Order; the above-mentioned Order of 1994; the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order; plans which show the lengths of road to which the Order relates, can be inspected on-line at www.hounslow.gov.uk, or at the Forms and Document Counter, Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow TW3 4DN between 9am and 4.15pm Mondays to Fridays until the end of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. Further information may also be obtained by telephoning the Environment Department on 020 8583 3322 .
- 4 Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing stating the grounds of the objection to the Director of Environment at the address above or by email to traffic@hounslow.gov.uk, quoting the reference TMO/P003/12, to be received by no later than Friday 16 March 2012 .

SCHEDULE 2
(Restricted access)
Lampton Road, Hounslow – between its junction with Bath Road and a point 10 metres north of the southern building line of the West London Business building, Lampton Road – except for access.
Welstead Way, Chiswick - closure of Welstead Way at its junction with Flanders which may be opened to allow the passage of emergency service vehicles, vehicles with a statutory need for access and at the discretion of the Council.
SCHEDULE 3
(Prohibited turns)
Hanworth Road, Hounslow – vehicles proceeding eastbound in Hanworth Road are prohibited from turning right into Chapel Road at its junction with Chapel Road.
SCHEDULE 4
(Mandatory turns)
Chapel Road, Hounslow - vehicles proceeding northbound in Chapel Road must turn left into Hanworth Road at its junction with Hanworth Road.
Prebend Gardens, Chiswick – vehicles proceeding southbound in Prebend Gardens must turn left into Chiswick High Road at its junction with Chiswick High Road
SCHEDULE 5
(Prohibited U-turn)
Wellington Road South, Hounslow - vehicles proceeding in a north-westerly direction are prohibited from making a U-turn at the junction of Wellington Road South and Staines Road so as to proceed in the opposite direction to that in which it was proceeding.
Wellington Road North, Hounslow – vehicles proceeding in a south-westerly direction are prohibited from making a U-turn at the junction of Wellington Road North and Staines Road so as to proceed in the opposite direction to that in which it was proceeding.
