THE A303TRUNK ROAD (DEPTFORD, SALISBURY, WILTSHIRE) (PROHIBITION OF U TURN) ORDER 2012

Notice is given that the Secretary of State for Transport proposes to make an Order under Legislation section: section 1(1)(a) and Legislation section: 2(1) of the Legislation: Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A303Trunk Road (‘A303’) at Deptford in Wiltshire.

The effect of the Order would be to prohibit any vehicle to carry out a U turn manoeuvre through the gap in the central reservation of the A303 at a point 200 metres northeast of A303 Deptford and Wylye Interchange.

A copy of the draft Order, a plan and statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during opening hours at Stonehenge Filling Station, High Street, Winterbourne Stoke, Wiltshire and Wylye Post Office & Store, High Street, Wylye, Near Warminster, Wiltshire BA12 0QR . They may also be obtained from the Highways Agency, Network Delivery & Development Directorate, Zone 2/06K, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Bristol BS1 6HA, or by e-mailing toswbs@highways.gsi.gov.uk, quoting reference HASW 04/11.

Anyone wishing to object to the proposed Order should send, not later than 2 March 2012 or within 21 days from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later, a written statement of their objection and the grounds on which it is made to the Highways Agency at the address above, quoting reference HASW 04/11.

Information provided in response to this consultation, including personal information, may be subject to publication or disclosure in accordance with the access to information regimes (these are primarily the Legislation: Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), the Legislation: Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and the Legislation: Environmental Information Regulations 2004 ).
