FURTHER TO THE NOTICE OF AN APPLICATION FOR CONSENT TO CONSTRUCT A 65MW BIOMASS FUELLED ELECTRICITY GENERATING STATION AT HOBSON WAY, STALLINGBOROUGH, LINCOLNSHIRE (ORIGINAL APPLICATION BY HELIUS ENERGY PLC REVISED PROPOSAL SUBMITTED BY RWE NPOWER RENEWABLES (STALLINGBOROUGH) LIMITED IN FEBRUARY 2010).
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that RWE npower Renewables (Stallingborough) Limited (“the Company”) has submitted information further supplementing the supplementary statement previously submitted in relation to the above extension application (“the Application”). The Application seeks to amend the biomass generation plant (phase 1) of the development previously consented by the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change on 16 June 2008. That consent was granted to Helius Energy plc. (The Application now excludes the construction of the bioethanol and biodiesel plants (phases 2 and 3) of the previously consented development). The Application was advertised in March 2010, with further and additional information having been advertised in October/November 2010.
Additional information has also been received by the Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change during the consultation process. This has been forwarded to North East Lincolnshire Council to be placed on the planning register and made available for public inspection.
The latest information relates to responses to queries in respect of the bird zone habitat and the provision of a drawing to clarify the extent of the formed habitat of the bird zone area, provision of an ecology report, provision of an updated In-Combination Air Emissions study and provision of a draft Habitat Creation and Management Plan and exclusion of phases 2 and 3 from the current proposal.
Copies of the further and additional information have been forwarded to North East Lincolnshire Council, Civic Offices, Knoll Street, Cleethorpes DN35 8LN to be made available for public inspection by being placed on the planning register. Copies of the latest information, at a price of £4.50 for the printed document and £2.00 for a CD-Rom, may also be obtained from Brian Morris, RWE npower Renewables, Auckland House, Lydiard Fields, Swindon, Wiltshire SN5 8ZT.

Any subsequent additional information received by the Secretary of State before determination of the application, if considered materially relevant, will be forwarded to North East Lincolnshire Council to be placed on the planning register and made available for public inspection, with any queries about this dealt with by the Department.
