The Queen has been pleased by Royal Warrant bearing date 26 September 2011 to appoint Bernard Hogan-Howe, Esquire, QPM, as the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in accordance with the Police Act 1996, as amended by the Greater London Authority Act 1999, with effect from 26 September 2011.
