THE EALING (PARKING PLACES) (PAY AND DISPLAY) (NO.1, 2003) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2011

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Ealing on 4th August 2011 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to:
    • i provide waiting and loading restrictions to operate “at any time” in The Avenue, on the east side, from its junction with Drayton Green Road north-eastwards for a distance of 18.0 metres and on the west side, from its junction with Drayton Green Road north-eastwards for a distance of 20.3 metres;
    • ii provide loading restrictions to operate “at any time” in Drayton Green Road, the north-east side, for 5 metres on each side of its junction with The Avenue;
    • iii provide waiting restrictions to operate “at any time” in The Avenue, the east side, around both the entrance and the exit points to the service road for the forecourt of the Drayton Court Hotel; and
    • iv bring the remaining waiting and loading restrictions as defined in the traffic order into line with the on-street layout.
    ii provide loading restrictions to operate “at any time” in Drayton Green Road, the north-east side, for 5 metres on each side of its junction with The Avenue; iii provide waiting restrictions to operate “at any time” in The Avenue, the east side, around both the entrance and the exit points to the service road for the forecourt of the Drayton Court Hotel; and iv bring the remaining waiting and loading restrictions as defined in the traffic order into line with the on-street layout.
  • 3 The general effect of the Free Parking Places Order and the Pay and Display Parking Places Order will be to:
    • i convert all the stop and shop parking places in The Avenue, between its junction with Drayton Green Road and its junction with Gordon Road, to pay and display parking places;
    • ii provide an additional pay and display parking place in The Avenue, on the east side, outside Sinclair House; and
    • iii provide an additional pay and display parking place in The Avenue, on the west side, outside No. 4 Castle Hill Parade, The Avenue—
    ii provide an additional pay and display parking place in The Avenue, on the east side, outside Sinclair House; and iii provide an additional pay and display parking place in The Avenue, on the west side, outside No. 4 Castle Hill Parade, The Avenue—

Notes: All the pay and display parking places mentioned above will operate between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, for a maximum parking period of 2 hours with no return within 1 hour. Passenger vehicles, goods carrying vehicles, motorcycles and disabled persons’ vehicles may be left in these parking places, and during the time any vehicle is left in these parking places it must display a ticket (free or paid for as stated below) obtained from a ticket parking machine.

The charges for parking in these pay and display parking places will be free for the first thirty minutes and 30 pence for further periods of thirty minutes up to a maximum of 90 pence for the maximum 2 hour parking period. The registration mark of the vehicle will be required to be entered into the ticket parking machine in order to obtain a ticket.

  • 4 The general effect of the Free Loading Places Order will be, in The Avenue, the west side, outside Nos. 13 to 21 The Avenue, to relocate an existing loading place northwards by 9 metres and reduce its size by 2 metres. This loading place will be available between 7.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m. on Mondays to Sundays inclusive.
  • 5 The general effect of the Disabled Persons’ Parking Places Order will be, in The Avenue, the west side, outside No. 15 The Avenue, to provide a disabled persons’ parking place. This disabled persons’ parking place will be available “at any time” on Mondays to Sundays inclusive.
  • 6 The Orders, which will come into operation on 8th August 2011, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which the Orders are made.
  • 7 If any person wishes to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
