THE STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAYS (7 – 19B LOUDOUN SQUARE, CARDIFF) ORDER 2011
Notice is hereby given that the Welsh Ministers have made an Order under Section 247 of the Act to authorise the stopping up of the area of highway described in Schedule 1 to this Notice.
The stopping up is authorised only in Order to enable the development described in Schedule 2 to this Notice to be carried out. The Order ceases to have effect if the planning permission expires or is revoked.
Copies of the Order and the deposited plan may be inspected during normal office hours at Development Control, Cardiff Council, City Hall, Cathays Park, Cardiff or may be obtained free of charge from the address below quoting the Welsh Assembly Government reference CZ510-5-71-qA914445/1.
If any person desires to question the validity of the Order, or of any of the provisions contained therein, on the grounds:
- a that it is not within the powers of the Legislation: Town and Country Planning Act 1990 ; or
- b that their interests have been substantially prejudiced by a failure to comply with any requirements of the Act;
that person may, within 6 weeks of 25 May 2011, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.

Schedule 1
(All measurements are approximate).
Description of the area of highway to be stopped up under this Order.
A rectangular shaped area of footway with a maximum length of 72.5 metres and a maximum width of 1.3 metres on the western side of Loudoun Square that extends in a south easterly direction from 7 Loudoun Square to 19b Loudoun Square, Cardiff .
Schedule 2
Description of the proposed development.
Alterations to Nos 7-19b Loudoun Square, Cardiff, including the change of use of adopted highway to residential front garden and change of use of existing garage site to residential garden area, alterations to rear of properties to also include the construction of a 2100 mm high brick wall to the boundary between the new rear gardens and Canal Park/Parc y Gamlas in accordance with the planning permission granted under Legislation section: Part III of the Legislation: Town and Country Planning Act 1990 by Cardiff Council on 14 April 2011 under reference 11/00280/DCI.
