GREENHILL WAY, HARROW (STOPPING UP ORDER 2011)
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO APPLY FOR A STOPPING UP ORDER SECTION 116 AND SCHEDULE 12 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
NOTICE is hereby given that the London Borough of Harrow (“the Council”) intend to apply to the Harrow Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Court House, Rosslyn Crescent, Harrow HA1 2JY on 22 June 2011 at 2pm for an Order under section 116 Highways Act 1980 authorising the stopping up of the highway described in the Schedule below on the ground that the said highway is unnecessary.
A copy of the draft Order and the accompanying Plan may be inspected free of charge between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday at the Main Reception, Access Harrow, Civic 1, Station Road, Harrow, Middlesex.
Any objection or representation in respect of the application to stop up the highway must be made in writing to the Director of Legal Services, for the attention of Siân Webb, Assistant Planning Lawyer, London Borough of Harrow, PO Box 2, Civic Centre, Harrow, Middlesex HA1 2UH no later than 27 May 2011.
Any person to whom this Notice has been given under the Highways Act 1980 or who uses the highway specified or who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order may appear before the Magistrates’ Court to raise an objection or make a representation on the application.
THE SCHEDULE
Description of the parts of Highway to be stopped up (1) The western part of the footpath adjacent to Greenhill Way measuring 37.23 metres in length and 46.25 square metres in area, starting from the rear boundary of 49 Greenhill Road to the rear boundary of 59 Greenhill Road.
(2) The eastern part of the footpath measuring 58.7 metres in length and 73.38 square
metres in area, starting from the rear boundary of 221 to 225 Station Road.
