TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under Legislation section: Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (West Midlands) (No. 47) Order 2011” authorising the stopping up of an 85 metre length of unnamed highway, including its turning head, abutting the south western boundary of Morrisons Supermarket, commencing 16 metres from its junction with Milestone Way at Burntwood in the District of Lichfield, to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted to London & Cambridge Properties Ltd by Lichfield District Council on 11 August 2010 under reference 10/00361/FULM.

COPIES OF THE ORDER MAY BE OBTAINED, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State, addressed to the National Transport Casework Team, Government Office for the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH (quoting reference NATTRAN/ WM/S247/135) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Burntwood Library, Sankeys Corner, Bridge Cross Road, Burntwood, Staffordshire, WS7 2BX .

ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE ORDER and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the 10 February 2011 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.

Planning permission is granted for the development of Burntwood Town Centre Phase 1 comprising 16 retail units with total floorspace of 9,659sq.m and an area management suite with means of access and highway improvements to Milestone Way and Robins Road, associated car parking, servicing, landscaping, external lighting, ancillary service infrastructure, the creation of interim footpath links and environmental enhancement works on land to the rear of 29-39 Cannock Road (Extension of time for application 07/00273/FULM) at land adjacent Milestone Way And, Rear of 29-39 Cannock Road (Olaf Johnson Site), Burntwood, Staffordshire .
