(CLEARWAY) (NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 2010
- 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, has made the above mentioned Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers. The Order was made on 17 th November 2010 and became operational on 22 nd November 2010.
- 2 The general effects of the Order will be to introduce a clearway on the southwest side of Nursery Road, from a point 9.8 metres northwest of the south-eastern kerb line (cul de sac end), north westwards to a point 26.0 metres southeast of the south-eastern kerbline of Worple Road. Exemptions will be allowed for emergency vehicles.
- 3 A copy of the Order, plans identifying the areas affected by the Order and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order can be inspected during the Council’s normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at Merton Link,, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey.
- 4 Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within six weeks from the date which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose
