ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A5TRUNK ROAD (A461 MUCKLEY CORNER ROUNDABOUT, LICHFIELD, STAFFORDSHIRE) (DERESTRICTION) ORDER 20XX
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he intends to make an Order under section 82(2) and 83(1) of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Legislation: Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A5Trunk Road in the District of Lichfield in the County of Staffordshire.
The effect of the order would be to maintain the national speed limit on the length of the A5 between points 70 metres west and 59 metres east of the centre of its roundabout junction with the A461 and Hall Lane, known as Muckley Corner Roundabout, including the circulatory carriageway of that roundabout, which would otherwise be subject to a speed limit of 30 miles per hour as a result of the street lighting installed on that length.
A copy of the draft Order, together with plans illustrating the proposals and a Statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during opening hours at Lichfield District Council, Frog Lane, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 6YY ; Lichfield Library, The Friary, Lichfield, Staffordshire, WS13 6QG or may be seen at or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, The Cube, 199 Wharfside Street, Birmingham, B1 1RN .
Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to Karen Eustace at the Highways Agency at the address given above. The objection should quote reference HA 28/8/93 and must be received no later than 28 October 2010 .
