TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (North West) (No.34) Order 2010” authorising the stopping up of an unnamed highway commencing from its junction with Lee Street at a point 20 metres north west of the junction of Lee Street and Clay Street and extending in a north easterly direction to Ashton Road at Primrose Bank in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Rok plc (On behalf of Inspirational Oldham) by Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council on 3 March 2010 under reference PA/057540/09.
COPIES OF THE ORDER MAY BE OBTAINED, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State, addressed to the National Transport Casework Team, Government Office for the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH (quoting reference NATTRAN/NW/S247/139) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the Unity Partnership, Henshaw House, Cheapside, Oldham OL1 1NY.
ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE ORDER and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 4 August 2010 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.

Planning permission is granted for 1) Demolition of existing houses and replacement with 192 no. dwellings, associated works and on-site public open space 2) Refurbishment of 98 no. existing dwellings, 3) Construction of a new community centre at land at Primrose Bank, Oldham.
