ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (STRUCTURES, APPROACHES AND SLIP ROADS) (LONDON BOROUGH OF CAMDEN) PRESCRIBED ROUTES AND SPEED RESTRICTIONS TRAFFIC ORDER 2010
- 1 Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 21st July 2010 it made the above named Order, under Section 6, 7, 83 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into force on 1st August 2010.
- 2 The general nature and effect of the Orders would be to:
- a When traffic signs indicating that there is no entry for vehicular traffic and/or that vehicles are prohibited are displayed in the vicinity of a restricted road no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in that road.
- b When traffic signs indicating that pedestrians are prohibited are displayed in the vicinity of a restricted road no pedestrian shall enter or proceed in that road.
- c When traffic signals indicating a maximum speed limit of 30 miles per hour are displayed in the vicinity of a restricted road no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that road at a speed of more than 30 miles per hour.
- 3 The roads which would be affected by the Order are the A501 Euston Underpass and its approaches and/or slip roads in the London Borough Camden.
- 4 A copy of the Order, a map indicating the location and effect of the Order and copies of any Order revoked, suspended or varied by the Order can be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of:
- 5 Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
- 6 At such times as the prohibitions are in force alternative routes will be indicated
by traffic signs and are as follows:
- a for the A501 Euston Road westbound traffic: via A400 Gower Street, Grafton Way, A400 Tottenham Road, on-slip of A501 Euston Road.
- b for the A501 Euston Road eastbound traffic: via off-slip of A501 Euston Road, A400 Hampstead Road, on-slip of A501 Euston Road.
