DISABLED PERSONS PARKING BAYS
VARIOUS STREETS THROUGHOUT THE BOROUGH

- 1 The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
- 2 The principal objective of the Order is to introduce a number of parking places for disabled persons where a high level of parking made reasonable means of access difficult and to discontinue a number of similar parking places previously provided where the demand for such bays no longer exists.
- 3 The Order will introduce a parking bay for disabled persons’ vehicles, operating “at any time” outside the following addresses:
435A Chertsey Road, Whitton
32 Warburton Road, Whitton;
139 Wills Crescent
- 4 A further bay will be introduced outside 9 to 16 Garden Court, Lichfield Road, Kew operating between 8.30am and 6.30pm throughout the week, any such day not being Good Friday, Christmas Day or a Bank Holiday.
- 5 Additionally, the Order will revoke the existing parking bays for disabled persons vehicles outside the following addresses:
120 Colne Road, Twickenham
11 Elm Road, East Sheen
9 Holly Road, Hampton Hill
26 Little Queens Road, Teddington
5 Shrewsbury Avenue, East Sheen
1 Sunbury Avenue, East Sheen
- 6 Copies of the proposed Order, plans showing the location and effect of the proposals and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected, quoting Reference 33/10, at the Civic Centre Reception, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays and on the council’s website at http://www.richmond.gov.uk/traffic_management_orders.htm
- 7 Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Manager for Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 21 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection. Statements may also be sent by email to highwaysandtransport@richmond.gov.uk.
