THE GREENWICH (EAST GREENWICH CPZ) (PAY AND DISPLAY) (PARKING PLACES) (NO. 1) (AMENDMENT NO. 3) ORDER 2010

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Greenwich Borough Council on 25 th January 2010 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Orders will come into operation on 1 st February 2010.
  • 2 The general effect of the Orders will be to:
    • a create disabled persons’ parking places of 6 metres in length in which vehicles displaying a valid disabled person’s “Blue Badge” may be left at any time, without charge and without time limit at the following locations:
      • i outside Nos. 77 to 83 Corelli Road ;
      • ii on the west side of Eastcombe Avenue, 11.5 metres north of Bramshot Avenue (6 metres of free parking will be removed);
      • iii outside Nos. 1 and 2 Lord Warwick Street (6 metres of permit-holder parking will be removed);
      • iv outside No. 40 Maze Hill (6 metres of “Pay & Display” parking will be removed);
      • v adjacent to No. 1 Stane Way ;
      • vi outside Nos. 97 and 99 Victoria Way (6 metres of free parking will be removed); and
      • vii outside No. 8 Woodland Terrace ; and
      ii on the west side of Eastcombe Avenue, 11.5 metres north of Bramshot Avenue (6 metres of free parking will be removed); iii outside Nos. 1 and 2 Lord Warwick Street (6 metres of permit-holder parking will be removed); iv outside No. 40 Maze Hill (6 metres of “Pay & Display” parking will be removed); v adjacent to No. 1 Stane Way ; vi outside Nos. 97 and 99 Victoria Way (6 metres of free parking will be removed); and vii outside No. 8 Woodland Terrace ; and
    • b resolve discrepancies between existing Orders and current on-street road markings with regards to certain free parking places in Harvey Gardens, Hassendean Road, Hasted Road and Heathwood Gardens.
  • 3 The Council has deferred a decision on the proposal to introduce a disabled persons’ parking place in Cleveley Close adjacent to No. 24 Cleveley Close while it considers representations to that proposal.

  • 5 The Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made at the Directorate of Regeneration, Enterprise and Skills, Strategic Transportation, Greenwich Council, Crown Building, 48 Woolwich New Road, SE18 6HQ.
  • 6 If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders or of any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for that purpose to the High Court.
