NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet has made on 7 January 2010 the above-mentioned Order under Sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to prevent obstructive parking, improve traffic flow and general road safety, the general effect of the Order is to introduce new waiting restrictions in the borough, as follows.

‘At any time’ waiting restrictions will be provided around the junctions of:

In addition, the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will:

• upgrade existing Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm waiting restrictions to ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on certain lengths of Back Lane, Edgware; Gaskarth Road, Edgware; Barnfield Road, Edgware; Market Lane, Edgware; Silkstream Road, Edgware, Watling Avenue, Edgware.

• upgrade existing Monday to Saturday 7am to 10am, 4pm to 7pm waiting restrictions to ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on certain lengths of A5 Burnt Oak Broadway, Edgware; Southbourne Avenue, NW9; and Greenway Gardens, NW9.

• upgrade existing Monday to Saturday 7am to 10am, 4pm to 7pm waiting restrictions to “at any time” waiting restrictions on North Road, Edgware

• remove certain lengths of Monday to Friday 8am to 9am, 5pm to 6.30pm waiting restrictions on Watling Avenue, Edgware.

• extend certain existing ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions on certain lengths of Barnfield Road, Edgware; Orange Hill Road, Edgware; Watling Avenue, Edgware; Gervase Road, Edgware; Colchester Road, Edgware; Pavilion Way, Edgware

The Order will come into operation on Monday 15 February 2010. Copies of the Order, plans of the relevant areas and the Council’s Statements of Reasons for making the Order can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays (Bank Holidays and Public Holidays excepted) inclusive for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published at:

• c Burnt Oak Library, Watling Avenue, Edgware, HA8 0UB

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of their provisions on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulation made there-under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
