TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

THE SECRETARY OF STATE hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act to authorise the stopping up of a length of the north western arm of the cul-de-sac The Cedars, comprising parking bays, commencing from its western termination point and extending in an easterly direction for a distance of 5 metres between the properties Nos. 33 and 34 The Cedars and a length of the unnamed Footpath to the rear of the properties nos. 25 and 26 The Cedars commencing from its northern termination point and extending in a generally south easterly direction for a distance of 5 metres at The Cedars, Milton Road at Harpenden, in the City & District of St Albans.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Wayne Investments Ltd by St Albans City & District Council on 14 th July 2009 under reference 5/09/0810.

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED at all reasonable hours during 28 days commencing on 9 th December 2009 at Harpenden Library, Vaughan Road, Harpenden, Herts, AL5 4EN and may be obtained free of charge from the Secretary of State at the offices of the Department for Transport (quoting reference NATTRAN/E/S247/89) at the address stated below.

ANY PERSON MAY OBJECT to the making of the proposed order within the period of 28 days commencing on 9 th December 2009 by notice to the Secretary of State, quoting the above reference, addressed to the National Transport Casework Team, Government Office for the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH.

In preparing an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of it may be imparted to other persons who may be affected by it and that those persons may wish to communicate with the objector about it.
