NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday the 10th day of November 2009 at 10:00am an application will be made by the Essex County Council as highway authority to the Mid-North Essex Magistrates’ Court sitting at the Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court, Shire Hall, Tindal Square, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 1RA for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980.

The proposed Order provides for the stopping up of highway rights over an area of highway comprising 136 square metres or thereabouts adjacent to No. 24 Marlowe Close in the District of Maldon in the County of Essex as shown shaded pink on the plan No. 83/08/181 on the ground that the area of highway is unnecessary.

The plan showing the area of highway to be stopped up is deposited at the Chelmsford Public Library, Market Street, Chelmsford and at Maldon District, Council Offices, Princes Road, Maldon, Essex, CM9 5DL where it may be inspected free of charge during normal opening hours.

On the hearing of the application any person to whom the notice has been given, any person who uses the said highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of an Order applied for will have the right to be heard.
