THE NEWHAM (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (NO. *) ORDER 200*
- 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Newham proposes to make the above mentioned Order under Sections 6 and 124 of Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
- 2 The general effect of the Order would be to :
- a prohibit stopping by vehicles between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday inclusive throughout the year on school keep clear markings outside schools.
- b revoke the prohibition of stopping by vehicles outside certain schools. The school keep clear road markings will be removed in these cases.
- c reduce the length of existing school keep clear markings and replace them with one or more shorter school keep clear markings.
- d revoke the prohibition of stopping by vehicles outside certain schools and replace the markings with waiting restrictions operative ‘at any time’.
- e revoke all previous Traffic Orders relating to Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools.
The Schedule below shows the location of the school keep clear markings and the effect of the proposed order.
- 3 A copy of the proposed Order, together with plans of each location and other relevant documents, can be inspected from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday at Reception, East Ham Town Hall, Barking Road, East Ham, London E6 2RP, until 6 weeks after the date on which the Order is made or until the proposed Traffic Order is withdrawn, as appropriate.

- 5 Any objections relating to the proposed Order must be made in writing to the Chief Engineer, Parking, London Borough of Newham, Newham Dockside, 1000 Dockside Road, London. E16 2QU. Objections must be made before 12 October 2009 and must specify the grounds of the objection, quoting reference PD/BW/SKC
- 6 Anyone objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council may be obliged to make any comments in respect of this Notice, open to public inspection.
