NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Schedule 10 of the Water Resources Act 1991 that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Thames Water Utilities Limited for a temporary relaxation of consent conditions to consent R87 which controls a discharge of up to 11,450 cubic metres per day of treated sewage and trade effluent to The River Lee at National Grid Reference TL 24760 09930 from Hatfield (Mill Green) Sewage Treatment Works, Hertford Road, Mill Green, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL9 5PE.

This time-limited relaxation until 31st March 2010 is required for a further period of major engineering works to improve and upgrade the Sewage Treatment Works.

Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to The Environment Agency, Water Quality Permitting Support Centre, PO Box 4209, Sheffield, S9 9BS, during the period 29/4/09 to 10/6/09 quoting reference R87/2.

Please be aware that any representation may be made available to third parties under the Freedom of Information Act or Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

A copy of the application may be inspected free of charge at the Local Environment Agency office at 2 Bishops Square Business Park, St Albans Road West, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9EX between the hours of 9 am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday (not Bank Holidays).
