THE LEWISHAM (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO.—) TRAFFIC ORDER 2009

  • 1 Notice is hereby given that Lewisham Council propose to make these two orders under the provisions of section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  • 2 The general nature and effect of the two orders will respectively be to—
    • a amend the Greenwich (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 2007 to alter waiting restrictions at the borough boundary road Lee Road to—

No Waiting At Any Time at Lee Road east side from junction Blackheath Park southward for 90 metres; and

  • b amend the Lewisham (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1990 to introduce the new restrictions—

No Waiting At Any Time at—

Adamsrill Road both sides within 5 metres of junction Mayow Road;

Burghill Road both sides within 10 metres of junction Mayow Road;

Dunfield Road southwest side within 5.7 metres of junction Sedgehill Road;

Mayow Road east side within 5 metres of junction Adamsrill Road and within 10 metres of junction Burghill Road; &

Sedgehill Road south side within 8.3 metres of junction Dunfield Road.

  • 3 Exemptions from the restrictions include Council and utility company vehicles engaged on certain duties, vehicles stopping to avoid an accident, ambulance, fire brigade and police vehicles and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
  • 4 Documents giving more detailed particulars of the orders and measures can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the office of Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre (Door-to-door Building), Wearside Road, Ladywell, London SE13 (tel. 020-8314 2265).
  • 5 Any objection or other representation relating to either order must be made in writing and any objection must specify the grounds on which it is made. Any such objection or representation must be sent, quoting reference ‘WL.LeeRd.Mayow.09’, to Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre, Wearside Road, London SE13 7EZ, to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
