  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington on 5 January 2009 made the above mentioned Orders under Section 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
  • 2 The general effect of these Orders will be to make various minor amendments to residents parking places, shared use (residents, business and pay and display) parking places and pay and display parking places in the London Borough of Islington so as to utilise highway space left vacant where disabled blue badge parking places which are no longer required have been removed and to bring these parking places into line with the current on-street layout. The results of making these orders would be to increase the amount of on-street residents parking places, shared use (residents, business and pay and display) parking places and pay and display parking places.
  • 3 The Orders, which will come into force on 9 January 2009, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours until 13 February 2009 at the following location:

Public Realm, Islington Borough Council, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1XR

  • 4 Any person who desires to question the validity of any of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 13 February 2009.
