THE BARNET (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (NO.1) (AMENDMENT NO. **) TRAFFIC ORDER 20**

THE BARNET (GOODS VEHICLES) (LOADING PLACES) (NO. *) TRAFFIC ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers

In order to prevent obstructive parking, improve traffic flow and general road safety, the general effect of the Waiting and Loading Order would be to introduce new waiting restrictions in the borough, as follows.

At any time waiting restrictions would be provided around the junction of southernmost side of the Beaconsfield Road and The Crescent, N11

At any time waiting restrictions would be provided on certain lengths of:

New Brent Street, NW4; Shirehall Park, NW4; The Bishops Avenue, N2 and Games Road, Cockfosters ( by upgrading Monday to Friday 8am to 9.30am, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Monday to Sunday 8am to Midnight waiting restrictions)

The Order would also provide:

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and Monday to Friday 4.30pm to 5.30pm waiting restrictions on certain lengths of The Avenue, N11

At any time loading restrictions on certain lengths of Torrington Park, N12 and Monday to Saturday 8am – 6.30pm loading restrictions on a certain length of Lodge Lane, N12.

The Chipping Barnet Parking Places Order would extend the lengths of two dual use bays between Nos. 27 and 39 Carnarvon Road in order to improve parking opportunities for permit holders and those wishing to Pay and Display.

The Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools Order would upgrade the No Stopping Monday to Friday 8am to 9.30am and 2.45pm to 4.15pm to No Stopping Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm in The Avenue, N11.

The Goods Vehicles Loading Places Order would introduce a loading bay operative Monday to Friday 10am – 5.30pm between Nos. 1150 and 1154 High Road, N20 in order to improve loading and unloading opportunities for local traders.

A copy of the proposed Orders, a plan of the relevant areas and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published at:

  • a Design Team, Building 4, North London Business Park, Oakleigh Road South, London, N11 1NP
  • b Hendon Library, (Information Desk 1st Floor) The Burroughs, Hendon, London, NW4 4BQ

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a written statement explaining their objection to the Design Team at the above address within 21 days of the date of this Notice.
